I bought this set because it has two sizes that my harbor freight set did not have. I am a home mechanic so it serves my needs. The shipping is fast….the characters on the sockets are huge and easy to read!!!! ( i know how how to read :> ) but in terms of having old man eyes :>!

  2. What can i say, i am a sucker for shiny objects! These have not only made my garage look nicer but have taken some serious abuse. IR makes good stuff as far as I can tell. I am not a pro, just a DIY’er, but I beat on these pretty hard rebuilding suspension and drive train on my car.

    Would definitely recommend.

I was a bit skeptical about buying these sockets only because the price seemed very cheap compared to other 3/8″ impact sockets out there, but now that I have them, I am very happy with my purchase.

Not much to say other than these are quality built sockets. The laser etching on them are very nice too. I used a few of them with my Makita 18-volt lithium ion black and white impact drill (I used a 1/4 ” hex shank to 3/8″ adapter). The sockets held up fine and I had no worries about breaking them as the build quality from visual inspection looked very good. I really doubt I can break any of these as they are not even large sizes and only use 3/8″ wrenches. They are made from chrome molybdenum steel which is what I hear to be the best steel you can use for impact sockets.

The box says these sockets are made in Taiwan but look and work as good as any sockets made in the USA.
